Responsibilities
- Coordinate and expedite the movement of freight and cargo shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate effectively with customers to gather shipping orders and provide updates.
- Arrange for pickup and transport of freight from various shipping locations.
- Prepare and review bills of lading and shipping documentation for accuracy.
- Examine shipping charges and tariffs to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize shipping routes and processes.
- Monitor shipment progress and address any delays or issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and customer interactions for tracking purposes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in freight shipping, logistics, or transportation management.
- Strong knowledge of shipping regulations, tariffs, and documentation processes.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficient in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
