Job Brief
The Fire Control Technician G (Gunfire Control) is responsible for targeting, firing, and maintaining a variety of weapons systems utilized to neutralize enemy positions, aircraft, and vessels. This role requires in-depth knowledge of field artillery, air defense artillery, and naval artillery systems, alongside expertise in operating weapons targeting, firing, and launch computer systems. Candidates should possess strong technical skills, effective communication abilities, and experience in conducting preventive maintenance and inspections of military-grade weapons and ammunition.
Responsibilities
- Target and fire artillery, missiles, and torpedoes to engage enemy forces effectively.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on weapons systems and related equipment.
- Test and store ammunition, missiles, and torpedoes following safety protocols.
- Establish and maintain radio and wire communications for operational coordination.
- Operate advanced weapons targeting and firing computer systems to ensure precision.
- Collaborate with other military personnel to execute ground and aerial combat operations.
- Document maintenance and operational performance to adhere to military standards.
- Participate in training exercises to enhance gunnery skills and operational readiness.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; military training in artillery or related fields preferred.
- Proven experience in operating and maintaining artillery systems, missiles, or torpedoes.
- Strong understanding of weapons targeting, firing procedures, and maintenance protocols.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in high-stakes environments.
- Excellent communication skills for coordination with team members and command.
- Certification in weapons safety and handling is highly desirable.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
