Job Brief
The Fiberglass Roller is responsible for laminating layers of fiberglass on molds to create high-quality boat decks, hulls, and bodies for various products, including golf carts and automobiles. This role requires hands-on experience in fiberglass application techniques, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of composite materials. Responsibilities
- Prepare molds and surfaces for fiberglass application to ensure optimal adhesion and finish.
- Apply multiple layers of fiberglass resin using rollers and brushes to achieve desired thickness and strength.
- Monitor curing processes and adjust materials and techniques as necessary to meet project specifications.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to maintain high standards and rectify any defects promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and improve manufacturing processes.
- Document production activities and maintain records of materials used for quality assurance purposes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in composites or fiberglass application preferred.
- Proven experience in fiberglass production or related manufacturing roles.
- Strong understanding of composite materials, resin systems, and curing processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficient in using hand tools and equipment specific to fiberglass applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Strong commitment to safety practices and quality control in manufacturing settings.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
