Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook falafel and other menu items following established recipes and portion standards.
- Assemble and serve food orders quickly, ensuring accuracy and presentation quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food cart, equipment, and work areas.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Engage with customers, providing friendly service and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Assist in training new staff members on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Contribute to menu development by suggesting new dishes or variations based on customer feedback.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training is a plus.
- Proven experience as a cook or in a similar food service role, preferably in a mobile food setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy ingredients and equipment.
- Basic math skills for portioning and inventory management.
