Job Brief
The Expeditor plays a crucial role in coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within departments to ensure adherence to production schedules. Responsibilities
- Coordinate workflow and materials between departments to align with production schedules.
- Review and distribute production, work, and shipment schedules to relevant teams.
- Communicate with department supervisors to monitor work progress and completion dates.
- Compile and analyze reports on work progress, inventory levels, and production issues.
- Identify and resolve production problems in a timely manner to minimize delays.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, costs, and project timelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
- Support the planning and scheduling of resources to enhance productivity.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Expeditor or in a similar logistical role within manufacturing or production.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management and production processes.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various teams.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports on production metrics and issues.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving challenges.
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
