Job Brief

The Executor of Estate is responsible for managing the distribution of assets, settling debts, and ensuring compliance with legal obligations after an individual’s passing. This role requires a strong understanding of estate laws, financial management, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with beneficiaries and legal entities. Ideal candidates will have previous experience in estate administration, probate processes, and fiduciary responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the probate process and ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
  • Manage and inventory estate assets, including real estate, investments, and personal property.
  • Prepare and file necessary legal documents with probate courts.
  • Communicate with beneficiaries regarding their entitlements and the status of the estate.
  • Settle outstanding debts and financial obligations of the estate.
  • Work with tax advisors to prepare and file estate tax returns.
  • Conduct regular financial reporting to beneficiaries and maintain accurate estate records.
  • Coordinate the distribution of assets to beneficiaries as per the will or state laws.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, law, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in estate administration or probate management.
  • Strong knowledge of estate planning laws and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups and individuals.
  • Proficiency in financial software and estate management tools.
  • Attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
  • Certification in estate planning or fiduciary responsibilities is a plus.
