Job Brief
As an Escalator Service Mechanic, you will be responsible for the assembly, installation, repair, and maintenance of electric and hydraulic escalators, elevators, and dumbwaiters. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as excellent troubleshooting skills. Responsibilities
- Assemble and install escalators and elevators according to manufacturer specifications.
- Perform regular maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal operational performance.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions in escalators and elevators.
- Conduct safety tests and adhere to all safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and service history.
- Collaborate with team members and other trades to resolve complex issues.
- Provide excellent customer service and educate clients on equipment operation and safety.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in elevator/escalator mechanics preferred.
- Proven experience as an escalator service mechanic or similar role in the elevator industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Valid elevator mechanic certification and relevant licenses.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work at heights and in various environments.
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
