Job Brief
As an Environmental Remediation Engineering Technician, you will apply your knowledge of environmental engineering principles to assist in the development, testing, and operation of equipment and devices aimed at preventing, controlling, and remediating environmental issues. This entry to mid-level role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively under the guidance of engineering staff or scientists, focusing on waste treatment and site remediation projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and implementation of environmental remediation systems and technologies.
- Conduct field testing and data collection to evaluate the effectiveness of remediation strategies.
- Operate and maintain equipment for waste treatment, air quality monitoring, and site remediation.
- Analyze environmental data and prepare reports to support project objectives.
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists to develop innovative solutions for environmental challenges.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards during all operations.
- Participate in site assessments and environmental impact studies.
- Document project progress, findings, and methodologies to maintain accurate records.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and standards, including EPA guidelines.
- Familiarity with remediation technologies such as bioremediation, chemical oxidation, and soil vapor extraction.
- Proficiency in data analysis software and environmental modeling tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Experience in fieldwork and laboratory analysis is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various work sites as needed.
