Job Brief

The Environmental Remediation Engineer is responsible for designing, planning, and implementing engineering solutions to prevent, control, and remediate environmental hazards. This role requires a deep understanding of waste treatment processes, site remediation techniques, and pollution control technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental engineering principles and experience in managing complex projects that ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental assessments and site investigations to identify contamination levels and environmental hazards.
  • Design and implement remediation plans that adhere to environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Utilize engineering techniques and technologies for waste treatment and pollution control.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including environmental scientists and regulatory agencies, to ensure project success.
  • Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and regulatory submissions.
  • Monitor and evaluate remediation processes to ensure effectiveness and compliance with safety standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in remediation technologies, and regulatory changes.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in environmental remediation or related engineering fields.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, site assessment methods, and remediation technologies.
  • Proficient in using engineering software and tools for design and analysis.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments and potentially hazardous conditions, following all safety protocols.
