Job Brief
The Environmental Control Administrator plays a critical role in managing and overseeing environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives within an organization. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate environmental performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote sustainability initiatives and reduce the organization’s environmental footprint.
- Provide training and support to staff on environmental management standards and best practices.
- Monitor and report on environmental metrics, ensuring accurate data collection and analysis.
- Stay updated on emerging environmental regulations and industry trends to inform organizational strategy.
- Manage relationships with regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and community organizations regarding environmental issues.
- Lead environmental risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential impacts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in environmental compliance or management roles.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, including EPA standards and ISO 14001.
- Proficiency in environmental data analysis and reporting software.
- Certification in environmental management (e.g., Certified Environmental Professional) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to environmental challenges.
