Job Brief
As an Electromedical Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for testing, adjusting, and repairing a variety of biomedical and electromedical equipment. Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance, calibration, and repairs on biomedical and electromedical equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve malfunctions in medical devices to ensure optimal functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory management.
- Provide technical support and training to healthcare staff on the proper use of medical equipment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess equipment needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Stay updated on industry advancements and regulatory compliance for medical devices.
- Assist in the installation and validation of new biomedical equipment.
- Work closely with manufacturers and vendors to facilitate equipment repairs and procure parts.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in servicing and repairing medical equipment.
- Knowledge of biomedical instrumentation, electrical systems, and safety standards.
- Certification as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) or equivalent preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with medical staff.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and quality assurance practices.
- Proficient in using diagnostic and repair tools related to medical devices.
