Job Brief
As an Electrical Lineworker, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical power distribution systems. This role requires hands-on experience with high-voltage cables and overhead power lines, as well as the ability to work safely at heights. Responsibilities
- Install and maintain overhead and underground electrical power lines and distribution systems.
- Repair and replace damaged cables or wires in electrical systems.
- Erect, maintain, and repair utility poles and transmission towers.
- Diagnose electrical issues and perform troubleshooting to ensure system reliability.
- Operate specialized tools and equipment for electrical line work.
- Adhere to safety standards and regulations to minimize hazards during operations.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure project completion.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of installations and repairs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electrical technology preferred.
- Valid electrical lineworker certification or equivalent experience in the field.
- Proficient in the use of electrical tools and safety equipment.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and at heights.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Prior experience in utility linework or a related field is an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and on-call shifts.
