Job Brief
As an Electrical Drafter, you will play a crucial role in the design and documentation of electrical systems. You will prepare detailed wiring diagrams, circuit board assembly drawings, and layout drawings that facilitate the manufacture, installation, and repair of electrical equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering principles, proficiency in drafting software, and a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in technical drawings.
Responsibilities
- Create comprehensive wiring diagrams and circuit board assembly diagrams for various electrical projects.
- Develop layout drawings that support the installation and maintenance of electrical systems.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers and project managers to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Ensure that all drawings comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Revise and update drawings based on project changes or feedback from engineering teams.
- Utilize CAD software and other drafting tools to produce high-quality technical documents.
- Maintain organized documentation of all drafts and revisions for future reference.
- Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving related to electrical designs and layouts.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Drafter or in a similar drafting role.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools).
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and components.
- Knowledge of industry standards and codes related to electrical drafting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Certification in drafting or engineering technology is a plus.
