Job Brief

Responsibilities

  • Perform echocardiographic examinations, including transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding of the process.
  • Utilize advanced ultrasound equipment to capture clear images of cardiac structures and blood flow.
  • Analyze and interpret echocardiographic data, providing preliminary findings to the supervising physician.
  • Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop patient management plans based on echocardiography results.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance and calibration of echocardiography equipment.
  • Stay current with advancements in echocardiography techniques and technologies through continuing education.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or higher in diagnostic medical sonography or a related field.
  • Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in performing echocardiograms in a clinical or hospital setting.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
  • Proficiency in operating echocardiography equipment and software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
