Job Brief
As a Dry Plasterer Helper, you will support skilled plasterers, painters, paperhangers, and stucco masons by performing essential tasks that require less specialized skill. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with the preparation of materials, maintaining a clean work environment, and ensuring that tools and equipment are readily available for use. Responsibilities
- Assist plasterers in applying dry plaster materials to walls and ceilings.
- Prepare and mix plaster or stucco materials according to specifications.
- Supply and hold tools and materials for plasterers and other tradespeople.
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including tools and equipment.
- Support the installation of drywall and other surface materials as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform general labor tasks as directed by the lead plasterer or supervisor.
- Assist in the setup and dismantling of scaffolding and other work platforms.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plastering techniques and tools.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is a plus but not required.
- Familiarity with safety practices in a construction environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new skills and techniques.
