Job Brief
As a Digital Press Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various printing machines, including digital, letterpress, lithographic, flexographic, and gravure presses. Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate digital, letterpress, lithographic, and flexographic printing machines.
- Monitor production processes to ensure optimal performance and quality output.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to keep machines running efficiently.
- Review job specifications and adjust machine settings according to project requirements.
- Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and best practices in the printing environment.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to meet customer expectations and deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of production, including quantities printed and materials used.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the printing process to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in printing technology is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Digital Press Operator or similar role in the printing industry.
- Strong knowledge of printing processes, including digital, flexographic, and lithographic techniques.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining various types of printing machines.
- Ability to read and interpret job orders and technical specifications accurately.
- Familiarity with color management and quality control processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
