Job Brief
The Die Cast Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of production and operating workers in a die casting facility. This role includes managing inspectors, machine setters, operators, assemblers, fabricators, and plant operators to ensure efficient production processes and adherence to quality standards. Responsibilities
- Directly supervise daily production activities and workflow in the die casting department.
- Coordinate the tasks of inspectors, machine setters, operators, assemblers, and fabricators to optimize productivity.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust workflow as needed to meet deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control standards throughout the production process.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide training to enhance team skills and efficiency.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase operating efficiency and reduce waste.
- Maintain accurate records of production data and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure machinery is properly serviced and operational.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in die casting preferred.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, specifically in die casting.
- Strong knowledge of die casting processes, equipment, and quality standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Ability to analyze production data and implement process improvements.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
