Responsibilities

  • Handle phone calls, answer questions, and provide information about the practice’s services.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Process insurance claims and verify patient eligibility for dental benefits.
  • Coordinate with dental staff to ensure seamless communication and patient care.
  • Manage billing and payment processing, including collections and financial transactions.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar customer service role, preferably in a dental or healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with dental software and practice management systems (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is preferred.
