Job Brief
As a Delivery Sales Worker, you will be responsible for driving a truck or delivery vehicle over established routes or within a designated territory to sell and deliver goods, including food products and restaurant take-out items. This role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to manage orders, handle payments, and ensure timely delivery. Responsibilities
- Drive a delivery vehicle along established routes to deliver goods and services effectively.
- Sell products directly to customers at various locations, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately and efficiently.
- Stock and organize merchandise at delivery points as needed.
- Maintain records of deliveries, sales, and customer interactions.
- Ensure vehicle is maintained and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with team members to meet operational goals and improve service delivery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in sales or logistics is a plus.
- Proven experience in delivery, sales, or customer service roles.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently.
- Familiarity with delivery tracking systems and point-of-sale software is preferred.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy items and navigate various terrains.
- Basic mathematical skills to handle transactions and inventory management.
