Job Brief
As a Daycare Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities of children in various settings, including childcare institutions, schools, and private households. Responsibilities
- Assist children with daily activities, including dressing, feeding, and bathing, to promote independence and self-care skills.
- Supervise and engage children in play and educational activities to foster social skills and creativity.
- Monitor children’s behavior and provide guidance to ensure a positive and respectful environment.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by organizing toys, sanitizing surfaces, and adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and any concerns.
- Assist in preparing and serving meals and snacks, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
- Implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in early childhood education or child development is a plus.
- Previous experience in childcare, daycare, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with children, parents, and staff.
- Basic knowledge of child development principles and best practices in caregiving.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children.
