Job Brief

As a Daycare Aide, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities of children in various settings, including childcare institutions, schools, and private households. Responsibilities

  • Assist children with daily activities, including dressing, feeding, and bathing, to promote independence and self-care skills.
  • Supervise and engage children in play and educational activities to foster social skills and creativity.
  • Monitor children’s behavior and provide guidance to ensure a positive and respectful environment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by organizing toys, sanitizing surfaces, and adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and any concerns.
  • Assist in preparing and serving meals and snacks, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
  • Implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in early childhood education or child development is a plus.
  • Previous experience in childcare, daycare, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with children, parents, and staff.
  • Basic knowledge of child development principles and best practices in caregiving.
  • First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children.
