Job Brief
As a Day Care Attendant, you will be responsible for providing attentive care to children in various settings, including schools, private households, and childcare institutions. Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage children during playtime and structured activities to promote physical, social, and emotional development.
- Assist with daily routines including dressing, feeding, and bathing to ensure children’s hygiene and well-being.
- Implement age-appropriate educational activities that foster learning and development.
- Monitor children’s behavior and provide guidance to ensure a safe and nurturing environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children’s progress and any concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of play areas and child care facilities.
- Respond swiftly to children’s needs and emergencies with appropriate care and attention.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in child development or early childhood education preferred.
- Proven experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in childcare.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with children and families.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for nurturing children’s growth and development.
