Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Custom Wood Stair Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in constructing, installing, and repairing wooden stairways, frameworks, and fixtures. Responsibilities
- Construct, erect, and install custom wood staircases and related structures.
- Repair and maintain wooden fixtures, including window and door frames.
- Build frameworks, such as partitions, joists, studding, and rafters, in compliance with building codes.
- Install hardwood floors, cabinets, siding, and drywall with high attention to detail.
- Utilize hand and power tools effectively to complete projects efficiently.
- Collaborate with architects and contractors to ensure design specifications are met.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the construction process.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Custom Wood Stair Builder or similar role in carpentry.
- Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certifications in carpentry or woodworking are a plus.
