Job Brief
As a Crew Dispatcher, you will play a vital role in coordinating and scheduling work crews, equipment, and service vehicles for the efficient conveyance of materials, freight, or passengers. This position requires a strong ability to manage logistics and communicate effectively using radio, telephone, or computer systems. You will compile statistics and reports on work progress, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery. Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch workers and service crews to designated locations efficiently.
- Utilize communication tools, including radio, telephone, and computer systems, to transmit assignments.
- Monitor work progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet operational needs.
- Compile and maintain accurate records and reports on crew activities and performance metrics.
- Coordinate emergency repair services and respond to urgent requests in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all dispatch operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to relay important updates and changes.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed, including data entry and inventory tracking.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or operations management is a plus.
- Proven experience in dispatching, logistics coordination, or a similar role.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in using dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in transportation or field services.
- Valid driver’s license may be required for this position.
