  • Source and select high-quality fabrics and materials that align with design concepts.
  • Stay updated on current fashion trends and techniques to incorporate into designs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure an efficient production process.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a dressmaker or in a similar role within the couture fashion industry.
  • Exceptional sewing and tailoring skills, including proficiency in hand sewing and machine sewing.
  • Strong knowledge of fabric types, garment construction, and pattern drafting techniques.
  • Ability to work with various sewing tools and equipment, including sewing machines and sergers.
  • Excellent communication skills for client consultations and collaboration with designers.
  • A portfolio showcasing previous couture work and design concepts.
  • Relevant certifications in fashion design or garment construction are a plus.
