Responsibilities
- Maintain order and discipline within the courtroom during legal proceedings.
- Enforce court rules and regulations to ensure a safe environment.
- Assist judges and court staff in the execution of court orders.
- Provide security for court personnel, witnesses, and jurors.
- Escort defendants and witnesses to and from the courtroom.
- Manage and control access to court facilities, verifying credentials of individuals entering the premises.
- Prepare reports on incidents and daily activities for legal documentation.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during court proceedings.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in criminal justice or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in law enforcement, security, or a related area.
- Strong knowledge of court procedures and legal regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is a plus.
- Physical fitness to manage courtroom security and respond to emergencies.
