Job Brief
The Senior Sergeant for Counterintelligence/Human Intelligence is responsible for supervising and coordinating the tactical operations of a specialized team. This role requires extensive experience in intelligence operations, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of counterintelligence and human intelligence principles. The Senior Sergeant will oversee the execution of intelligence collection, analysis, and reporting, ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of operations while mentoring junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of tactical operations specialists, ensuring compliance with operational guidelines and standards.
- Lead intelligence collection efforts, focusing on both counterintelligence and human intelligence methodologies.
- Conduct training and development programs for team members to enhance operational capabilities and intelligence expertise.
- Analyze and evaluate intelligence data to identify trends, threats, and opportunities for operational improvement.
- Collaborate with other intelligence units and agencies to share critical information and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Prepare and present intelligence reports and briefings to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards in intelligence operations, maintaining the highest level of integrity.
- Act as a mentor and guide for junior personnel, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in counterintelligence and human intelligence operations, with a focus on tactical and strategic implementation.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with experience managing a diverse team in high-pressure environments.
- In-depth knowledge of intelligence collection techniques, analysis tools, and reporting methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective briefing and reporting.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and translate findings into actionable intelligence.
- Relevant military or law enforcement experience preferred, with appropriate certifications in intelligence operations.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities, with a proactive approach to operational challenges.
