Job Brief
The Courtesy Van Driver is responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation services for passengers on a scheduled basis. This role requires excellent driving skills, a customer-focused attitude, and a commitment to ensuring a positive experience for all passengers. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in passenger transport, strong communication skills, and a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Operate a courtesy van to transport passengers to designated locations safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to scheduled routes and maintain punctuality for all pickups and drop-offs.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with loading and unloading their belongings.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the vehicle, performing routine inspections and reporting any issues.
- Collect fares and manage passenger records, ensuring accurate accounting of all transactions.
- Ensure compliance with all local and state regulations regarding passenger transport.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating transportation requests as needed.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in a driving or transportation role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and maintain schedules.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to assist passengers with limited mobility and provide support as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications related to passenger transport are advantageous.
