Job Brief

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for overseeing and optimizing an organization’s day-to-day operational functions, ensuring alignment with strategic goals. The COO will work closely with the executive team to develop policies and provide overall direction, leveraging extensive leadership experience and exceptional management skills. A successful candidate will have a proven track record in operational management, strategic planning, and team development within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement operational strategies to achieve company objectives and enhance performance.
  • Oversee daily operations and ensure efficiency across all departments.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to establish and execute the company’s strategic plan.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to ensure organizational health.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to drive operational excellence.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop subordinate executives and management teams.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for the board of directors and provide regular updates on operational performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations management or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to drive results.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in using project management tools and operational software.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective business strategies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
