Job Brief
As a Concrete Mixer Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering concrete to various construction sites. Your role requires operating a truck with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and maintaining accurate records of deliveries. The ideal candidate will have a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and demonstrate strong driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage time effectively.
Responsibilities
- Operate a concrete mixer truck to transport and deliver concrete to construction sites.
- Ensure the proper loading and unloading of concrete, following safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and construction site personnel to coordinate deliveries.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Manage time efficiently to meet delivery schedules.
- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to management promptly.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
- Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably with concrete mixer trucks.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret delivery instructions and maps.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and operate equipment safely.
- Familiarity with local traffic laws and regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional training in truck driving is a plus.
