Job Brief
We are seeking a skilled Concrete Floor Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in pouring, smoothing, and finishing concrete surfaces, including floors, sidewalks, and curbs. Proficiency in using various hand and power tools, along with a strong understanding of concrete installation techniques, is essential. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work effectively in diverse weather conditions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and level surfaces for concrete pouring, ensuring proper alignment and formwork.
- Mix, pour, and spread concrete to create smooth and durable surfaces.
- Use hand and power tools, such as trowels, screeds, and saws, to finish and shape concrete surfaces.
- Cut expansion joints and patch voids to enhance the integrity of concrete structures.
- Inspect finished work for quality, ensuring it meets specifications and standards.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and regulations while working with concrete and related materials.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Concrete Floor Installer or similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to operate various hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices in construction.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in concrete installation are a plus.
