Job Brief

The Computer Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining computer systems, electronic office equipment, and automated teller machines. This role requires a strong understanding of hardware and software troubleshooting, along with the ability to install and configure various technologies. Ideal candidates possess hands-on experience in technical support and demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues in computers and electronic office machines.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, including operating systems and applications.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on automated teller machines and electronic office equipment.
  • Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Document repair processes and maintain accurate records of service activities.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to optimize system performance and resolve technical challenges.
  • Stay updated on the latest technology trends and advancements in computer systems.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Computer Service Technician or in a similar technical support role.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
  • Familiarity with electronic office machines, including duplicators and fax machines.
  • Certification in CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or equivalent is preferred.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
