Job Brief

As a Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) Machinist, you will operate advanced computer-controlled tools, machines, and robots to fabricate parts, tools, and other workpieces from a variety of materials, including metal, plastic, wood, and stone. This role requires a solid understanding of CNC programming, machining principles, and the ability to set up and maintain CNC equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and attention to detail, ensuring high-quality production in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and routers, to produce precision components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to understand specifications.
  • Set up and calibrate CNC equipment for optimal machining performance.
  • Write, modify, and optimize CNC programs using G-code and CAD/CAM software.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machinery to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Monitor production processes and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards.
  • Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools to verify adherence to specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve manufacturing processes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in CNC programming and operating various CNC machinery.
  • Strong understanding of machining principles and material properties.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and G-code programming.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and inspection techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining preferred.
