Job Brief
The Combination Machine Tool Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and tending multiple types of cutting or forming machine tools and robots. Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate cutting and forming machine tools according to specifications.
- Operate multiple machines simultaneously while monitoring performance and quality.
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure accurate production.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to ensure optimal operation.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and efficiency.
- Document production data and maintain records of machine operation and maintenance.
- Train and mentor junior operators on machine operation and safety procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machining or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Combination Machine Tool Operator or similar role in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in operating various cutting and forming machines, including CNC equipment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, tools, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and safety regulations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
