Job Brief
As a Coil Former, you will be responsible for winding wire coils utilized in various electrical components, including resistors, transformers, and motors. Your expertise will contribute to the assembly of vital equipment such as field cores, bobbins, armature cores, generators, and control systems. Responsibilities
- Operate winding machines to produce precise wire coils for electrical components.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine winding requirements.
- Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot mechanical issues during operation.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality control processes throughout production.
- Perform routine maintenance on winding equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance product design and manufacturing efficiency.
- Document production metrics and report discrepancies to management for corrective action.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Coil Former or in a similar role in the electrical manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of coil winding techniques and electrical principles.
- Familiarity with various winding machines and tools, including CNC winding equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in work output.
- Basic mechanical skills for troubleshooting and equipment maintenance.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical or mechanical fields is a plus.
