As a Clocksmith, you will be responsible for the repair, cleaning, and adjustment of intricate timing instruments, including watches and clocks. Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic watches and clocks, ensuring accurate timekeeping.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning and oiling movements to enhance performance.
  • Adjust and calibrate timing mechanisms to meet industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Utilize precision tools and equipment for disassembly, assembly, and testing of timepieces.
  • Restore antique and vintage clocks and watches while preserving their original aesthetics.
  • Maintain an organized workspace and adhere to safety protocols while working with delicate components.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair processes and timelines effectively.
  • Stay informed about advancements in horology and emerging trends in the watchmaking industry.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Clocksmith or in a similar role within the horology field.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with various clock and watch mechanisms.
  • Ability to use precision tools and machinery for repairs and adjustments.
  • Certification in horology or relevant technical training is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
