Job Brief

As a Clay Modeler, you will be responsible for molding, shaping, and crafting a variety of products using clay and other materials such as glass, plaster, and concrete. This role requires a keen artistic eye, technical skills in sculpting, and the ability to translate concepts into tangible forms. Successful candidates will possess experience in model making, a strong understanding of three-dimensional design, and proficiency in various sculpting techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Design and create detailed clay models, ensuring accuracy and high-quality craftsmanship.
  • Mold, shape, and form products such as figurines, tiles, pipes, and candles.
  • Utilize various tools and techniques for carving and casting materials.
  • Collaborate with designers and engineers to develop prototypes and refine concepts.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure all products meet industry standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety regulations.
  • Stay updated on trends and advancements in clay modeling and related technologies.
  • Document processes and techniques to enhance workflow efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Clay Modeler or in a similar role within the ceramics or sculpture industry.
  • Strong artistic skills with a solid understanding of three-dimensional design principles.
  • Proficiency in sculpting techniques and the use of relevant tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of material properties, including clay, plaster, and concrete.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • A degree in Fine Arts, Sculpture, or a related field is preferred.
