Job Brief

As a Chemical Plant Operator, you will be responsible for controlling and operating entire chemical processes and systems of machines, ensuring that safety and efficiency standards are met. This role requires a strong understanding of chemical production processes, monitoring equipment performance, and maintaining operational quality. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in chemical manufacturing, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control chemical processes to ensure safe and efficient production.
  • Operate and maintain machinery and equipment, including pumps, valves, and reactors.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
  • Document production data, including quantities, temperatures, and pressures, for quality assurance.
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and process inefficiencies.
  • Coordinate with team members to optimize production schedules and workflows.
  • Participate in safety training and adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and work areas.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in chemical technology or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Chemical Plant Operator or in a similar role within the chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of chemical processes and safety standards.
  • Familiarity with control systems and process automation technologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team as well as independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
  • Certifications in hazardous materials handling or process safety management are a plus.
