Job Brief
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist to assess, treat, and manage patients with breathing disorders. This role requires a strong understanding of respiratory care modalities and the ability to supervise respiratory therapy technicians. You will be responsible for initiating and conducting therapeutic procedures, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring the proper selection, assembly, checking, and operation of respiratory equipment. Ideal candidates will possess excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ respiratory conditions and collaborate with healthcare teams to develop effective treatment plans.
- Administer respiratory therapies and interventions, including oxygen therapy, nebulization, and mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor and document patients’ progress and response to treatments, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Supervise and train respiratory therapy technicians in the delivery of respiratory care services.
- Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding respiratory health and treatment options.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in respiratory therapy practices.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Respiratory Therapist (CRT or RRT) from an accredited organization.
- Valid state licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Proven experience in a clinical respiratory therapy role, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Strong knowledge of respiratory care modalities, equipment, and techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork and patient interaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
