Job Brief
The Certified Maintenance Welder is responsible for executing high-quality welding and metal fabricating tasks to ensure the integrity and durability of metal components. Responsibilities
- Perform hand-welding, flame-cutting, and brazing operations to join metal components effectively.
- Inspect and assess welded joints for quality and adherence to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
- Maintain and operate welding equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks on welding equipment and machinery.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to promote a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to diagnose and resolve welding-related issues.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a welder from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience in maintenance welding and metal fabrication.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of welding equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including blueprints and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
