As a Cattle Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing cattle for resale or further processing. Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain relationships with ranchers, producers, and other industry stakeholders.
- Monitor market conditions and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards in all purchasing activities.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate logistics for cattle delivery.
- Prepare reports on purchasing activities and market analysis for management review.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in cattle buying or agricultural procurement.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in market analysis and livestock evaluation techniques.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with suppliers and producers.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with livestock management software and market reporting tools is a plus.
