Job Brief
As a Cat and Dog Bather, you will play a vital role in ensuring the overall well-being of pets through grooming and bathing services. You will provide high-quality care by bathing, brushing, and grooming cats and dogs, while also monitoring their health and comfort. Responsibilities
- Perform bathing, grooming, and drying of dogs and cats to maintain hygiene and appearance.
- Assess and monitor the health and behavior of pets during grooming sessions.
- Feed and provide water to animals as required, following specific dietary guidelines.
- Clean and disinfect bathing areas, grooming tools, and animal enclosures to ensure a safe environment.
- Exercise and socialize pets as needed to promote their physical and mental well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of each pet’s grooming services, health status, and any special needs.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming services and pet care tips.
- Handle and restrain pets safely and humanely during grooming procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in animal care or grooming is a plus.
- Proven experience in pet grooming or animal care; knowledge of different breeds and their grooming needs.
- Strong understanding of animal behavior and first aid for pets.
- Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments safely.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact with pet owners.
- Basic knowledge of grooming tools and equipment maintenance.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Certification in pet grooming or animal care preferred but not required.
