Job Brief

The Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist plays a crucial role in the healthcare sector by conducting tests and procedures on patients’ pulmonary and cardiovascular systems for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic tests on patients’ cardiovascular and pulmonary systems, including electrocardiograms and cardiac catheterizations.
  • Assist physicians in interventional procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies for cardiovascular and pulmonary testing.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Analyze test results and provide accurate documentation for patient records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans based on test findings.
  • Educate patients and their families on procedures, risks, and post-test care.
  • Stay updated on advancements in cardiovascular technology and best practices in patient care.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Cardiovascular Technology or a related field.
  • Certification as a Cardiovascular Technologist (e.g., through ARRT or CCI) preferred.
  • Proven experience in performing cardiovascular and pulmonary diagnostic tests.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology related to cardiovascular care.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Current CPR certification and knowledge of emergency procedures.
