Job Brief

As a Cardiopulmonary Technologist, you will play a vital role in conducting diagnostic, therapeutic, and research tests on patients’ pulmonary and cardiovascular systems. Responsibilities

  • Conduct and assist with electrocardiograms (ECGs) to monitor heart activity.
  • Perform cardiac catheterizations, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.
  • Administer pulmonary function tests to evaluate lung capacity and function.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment used in cardiopulmonary testing.
  • Analyze test results and collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans.
  • Educate patients on procedures and provide support during testing.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain accurate patient records.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Cardiopulmonary Technology or related field.
  • Certification as a Registered Cardiopulmonary Technologist (RCPT) or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a clinical or hospital environment preferred.
  • Proficient in using cardiopulmonary diagnostic equipment and software.
  • Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex procedures to patients.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
