Job Brief
As a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic cardiovascular illnesses while working independently or as part of a healthcare team. Your focus will be on health promotion, disease prevention, and patient education. You will have the opportunity to order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and X-rays, and may also prescribe medications. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with cardiovascular conditions.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular diseases.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including echocardiograms and stress tests.
- Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness in managing cardiac conditions.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding heart health and disease management.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in health promotion and disease prevention initiatives.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing with a focus on Cardiology.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure and Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiology or acute care setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication and patient management abilities.
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
