Job Brief
The Caddy Master is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the caddy services at a golf course, ensuring exceptional customer service and operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills and hands-on experience in the golf industry, managing caddy staff, scheduling, and training while providing a positive experience for both caddies and golfers. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of caddies and other recreation staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Schedule and assign caddies to golfing groups based on demand and individual caddy expertise.
- Train and mentor caddies on golf course etiquette, customer service skills, and operational procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate caddy performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance for improvement.
- Manage equipment inventory and maintain caddy-related gear, ensuring all items are in good condition.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries or complaints related to caddy services promptly and effectively.
- Collaborate with golf course management to enhance caddy services and overall guest experience.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all caddy operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Caddy Master or in a similar supervisory role within the golf or recreation industry.
- In-depth knowledge of golf operations, etiquette, and rules.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring positive interactions with guests and staff.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the golf course schedule.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing schedules and inventory.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in hospitality or recreation management are a plus.
