Job Brief
As a Butcher, you will play a vital role in the meat preparation process, focusing on cutting, trimming, and preparing consumer-sized portions of meat for retail establishments. Responsibilities

- Inspect meat products for quality and freshness, discarding any that do not meet standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about meat products and offering preparation advice.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages.
- Utilize various meat processing equipment safely and efficiently, including bandsaws and grinders.
- Participate in training new staff members on proper meat handling techniques and workplace safety.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Butcher or in a similar role within the meat industry.
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques.
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to operate meat processing equipment safely and effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills with the capability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications (e.g., food handler certification) are a plus.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items as required.
