Job Brief
The Bus Person plays a vital role in the food service industry, ensuring a seamless dining experience by assisting servers and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area. Responsibilities
- Facilitate food service by preparing tables and clearing dirty dishes promptly.
- Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and other dining areas to ensure a welcoming environment.
- Replace soiled table linens and set tables with clean silverware, glassware, and dishes.
- Replenish supplies of linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes as needed.
- Assist in supplying the service bar with food items and beverages.
- Serve water, condiments, and coffee to patrons efficiently and courteously.
- Assist servers in delivering food and drinks to tables as required.
- Report any maintenance or cleanliness issues to management promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Bus Person or in a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy items as needed.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
