Job Brief
As a Bulldozer Mechanic, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment, specifically bulldozers, used in construction, logging, and mining operations. Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in bulldozers and other heavy machinery.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
- Overhaul engines, transmissions, and other essential components as needed.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to assess machinery performance.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on equipment.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and engineers to improve equipment functionality.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on heavy equipment.
- Provide training and guidance to junior mechanics and apprentices as necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bulldozer Mechanic or similar role in heavy equipment repair.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Technical certification in diesel mechanics or related field is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments.
