Job Brief
As a Bread Baker, you will be responsible for mixing and baking a variety of ingredients to produce high-quality breads, rolls, cookies, cakes, pies, pastries, and other baked goods. This role requires a strong understanding of baking techniques, ingredient properties, and food safety standards. Responsibilities
- Mix and knead dough, ensuring proper consistency and texture for various bread types.
- Bake a diverse range of baked goods, including artisanal breads, rolls, and pastries.
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to achieve optimal flavor and texture.
- Develop and test new recipes while adhering to established standards of quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking station and equipment.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations to ensure product quality and safety.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
- Train and mentor junior bakers and kitchen staff on baking techniques and best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bread Baker or in a similar role within a bakery or kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient properties, and kitchen equipment.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Creativity in recipe development and a passion for baking.
- Certification in culinary arts or baking is a plus.
