Job Brief

Responsibilities
- Compile and maintain accurate records of library materials, including Braille and talking books.
- Sort, shelve, and organize library materials according to identification numbers and titles.
- Issue and receive library materials, ensuring proper documentation and inventory management.
- Assist patrons in registering for library services and borrowing materials.
- Locate and retrieve library materials for patrons, providing exceptional customer service.
- Monitor and maintain the organization of shelving areas and stacks.
- Provide guidance and support to patrons utilizing Braille and talking book resources.
- Participate in inventory audits and ensure the accuracy of library records.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; experience in library services is preferred.
- Familiarity with Braille and talking book resources is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in library management systems and software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of cataloging and classification systems for library materials.
- Ability to lift and move library materials as needed.
